Tea for Natural Allergy Relief

6 cups filtered water

6- ¼ inch thick slices of turmeric root

6 -¼ inch thick slices of ginger root

1 cinnamon stick

3 Tbsp raw local honey (optional)

Place all ingredients, except the honey, into a saucepot and simmer over medium low heat for 25 minutes.  Strain tea and stir in honey.

This tea is delicious hot or iced and with or without your favorite “milk”.  I have also poured this hot tea over a chamomile tea bag (let this steep for 5 minutes) and sipped before bed to help with sleep.

The turmeric and ginger roots are great anti-inflammatory herbs, this will help reduce any swelling that your seasonal allergies are creating.  The ginger also aids digestion and the raw local honey help tame seasonal allergy symptoms.
